My favourite story from this book is Chapter XIII. Probably the best horse-race story I have ever read, and I have read quite a few. It got my heart racing, and I read it without a pause. She has a very deep connection to all the animals in this book. They are the main characters in most of the stories.

I'm not really into horse-racing and I agree, my heart was pounding as well!

Did anyone else who's not normally into that kind of thing get sucked in as well?
