Hello everyone! I hope you're all excited to start your IT'S THE SOUND OF THE POLICE books for August!

This is a thread for you all to link to your reviews. Here we can keep up with each other and see how we felt about our books for the month!

At the end of the month I will be linking back to everyone's reviews on a big master post on my blog so don't forget to link it here, otherwise I won't be able to find it!

If you talk about the club anywhere online where hashtags are used, please use the hashtag #BookBumClub so I can see it! I follow the hashtag on Instagram, and regularly check it on Twitter!

Also, all reviews posted in this thread this month will be entered to win a £10 Wordery order. *Only one entry per person (even if you leave more than 1 review!)

Happy reading everyone x

~

Jamie-Lee (jlkfraser) | 17 comments Hi Everyone!

I read I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara. What. A. Ride. If you are into true crime you gotta read this book. It closely follows the footsteps of the Golden State Killer and is written exceptionally well.

Nicole (bookwyrmknits) | 22 comments Not 100% sure it counts... but "crime" is in the title, and there are parts which involve the police and even take place in jail.

Here's my review of Born A Crime by Trevor Noah:

Magical_Bookworm | 26 comments I read Jackaby by William Ritter and enjoyed it.
Jackaby (Jackaby, #1) Jackaby by William Ritter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book helped me get out of a reading slump. I really enjoyed this book but it is not a favorite so a four star read. When I first started this book I thought Jackaby would be the narrator but he wasn't so it threw me off at first. This book felt like Sherlock meets Doctor Who set in Victorian times in all the best possible ways. I loved the magical aspects. The mystery had me guessing until the very end. I will be continuing this series sometime soon. I can't wait to continue.
