Based in the modern day, the first book in the series is about the quieter sister who is in love with the local boy. All I remember is near the end both sisters get into a car accident as they drive back late one night and the quieter sister gets seriously injured. This causes the hero to finally admit that he loves her

The second one in the series is about the other sister. She was spoiled, but after the accident was scared to drive and became a better person. The hero here was either a doctor or vet that she started to work with
