Are you certain it is the woodsmans baby
1) Girl is in love with her brother's best friend
2) He leaves for the army or military
3) She was young when he left (between maybe 15-18)
4) He is saying goodbye to his best friend before get on the bus
5) I think his friend says something about not understanding why his sister didn't come to say bye
6) I think they may have said there goodbyes night before so it wouldn't be to hard
7) Right before he gets on the bus she shows up and tells him that she would miss him and gives him a letter telling him how much she loves him an all her feelings
8) Years later he returns to her and eventually shows her the worn out letter and tells her that her letter is what kept him going all the years he was away
