The Dandelion Clock question

I wish I knew, Frank. It's a part of the world that has been troubled for millennia, it seems. I suspect the Crusades didn't help, the first and second wars stirred things up again and the wounds still fester. Religion always seemed to be at the heart of it, but sometimes I think the war-mongerers use that as an excuse not a reason. it's heartbreaking to see the damage war is doing to the world.
