Mark Pearce | 19 comments I am writing a fantasy novel aimed at new adults. I am just over 30k words and know where I am going with it. What I could use is somebody to read the first few chapters (or all I've written so far if you have time) and give me feedback:
Is it any good?
Is it aimed at the right people?
What is good about it?
What is less good about it?
I would appreciate hearing from anybody who is able to help.
Thank you

Martha | 75 comments It tends to be helpful if you give us a bit of a blurb, so readers can decide if it sounds like their sort of thing. ;)

Mark Pearce | 19 comments Mysterious old man arrives in town. Residents are interested in him only in so far as it might give them some entertainment when the ruler’s men catch him. The old man has a child with him and entrusts it to a shopkeeper when soldiers snatch him. Four years later a young child is saved from a beating at the hands of a local bully and his friends. The young boy is saved by two boys of a similar age and forms a lifelong friendship with them as well as a lifelong hatred of the bully. The story develops from there.
