Jon Hollihan | 40 comments Can someone please add "The Flaming Frontier", by Jarrolds to Frank G. Slaughter titles, though it is the same novel as "The Warrior" by Doubleday? Disappointed to find & purchase, then realize it wasn't a new book, but the 1957 British edition of the 1956 American publication.

* Title - The Flaming Frontier
* Author name - Frank G. Slaughter
* Publisher - Jarrolds London
* Publication date - 1957
* Format - Hardcover
* Page count - 232
* Description - "In the swamplands and pine-barrens of Central Florida in 1835, the tense relations between the Indians - under the leadership of the great Seminole war-chief, Osceola - and the white settlers exploded into war. Charles Paige had tried to save the situation. A blood brother to the intelligent and dangerous Osceola, he knew of the Indians' hardships, of the encroaching white men, of the notorious "blackbirders" - and of the the Government's efforts to force the Seminoles to migrate to Arkansas. Charles had enlisted the aid of Marie Campbell, and - despite her marriage to an Army major - had fallen in love with her. As Osceola's war spread across Florida, the lovers - with Marie's brutal husband - found themselves caught in a trap of murder and deceit" (from jacket & front endpaper)
