📣ANNOUNCEMENTS📣

We have opened a folder for Buddy Reads. These will be member lead discussions for two or more members who agree on a book or series of books and a reading pace.


📖MONTH BOOK DISCUSSION📖

We are currently reading The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton, Noir by Christopher Moore, Into the Water by Paula Hawkins, and Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie.

🗳️MONTH POLL RESULTS🗳️

🥇 The President Is Missing by Bill Clinton and James Patterson wins first place in our general election. This selection was nominated by Diane. Thank you Diane, great choice!

🥈 In second place is The Outsider by Stephen King and which was nominated by Elton. Thank you Elton for your nomination, another great choice!

🏅The sub-genre of the month was Police Procedural and The Nature of the Beast by Louise Penny won our sub-genre poll. This book was nominated by Jamie. Thank you Jamie for your nomination.

✒️Our Focus on the Agatha Christie selection that will begin on July 22nd is Curtain: Poirot's Last Case. Followed by Murder at the Vicarage beginning on August 5th and August 19th starts our read of And Then There Were None. We will be wrapping up our Focus on Agatha Christie project in mid-September and will need to select another author soon. If you'd like to nominate an author for consideration for our next Focus project please do so in this discussion.

Kevin, we have multiple books we are reading for August. You can always check on the group's bookshelves (upper right hand corner) and view the "currently reading" shelf.
