Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) | 178 comments I hadn't heard of this prize, but it's just for debut novels set in the south. Pretty much of this group's alley! They announced the longlist today.

I've only read one, Fire Sermon by Jamie Quatro, which I liked quite a bit. It's set in Chattanooga!

I think that whiskey and Ribbons is doing well. I’ll try to get to it. Thanks for list.

I hadn't heard of this prize either, but I do know that Crook's Corner is a great restaurant in Chapel Hill. Jumping into literature makes me love them even more.
