The group voted to read the Poetry nominee, Long Way Down, in August. The winner for this genre was The Sun and Her Flowers. Have you read any of the other nominees for this award? Which have you read and what did you think? Which was your favorite?

Do you plan to read any of them in the future? How about setting up a buddy read of one that you are interested in this month? Use this thread to discuss and find a buddy!

Schedule buddy reads here, then set up a separate thread to discuss.

I've never been a fan of poetry. It doesn't move me the way it does some people. I won't be reading any of these, because I just don't enjoy the genre. Is anyone else reading any of them? Any poetry lovers in the group?

Chris I am the same - read Sun and Her flowers because it was recommended to me and reading Long way down for the buddy read plus it was recommended to me - I usually avoid poetry---

Judy Robertson | 104 comments I don’t care for poetry either. I will probably pass on these.
