Kirsten (xfkirsten) | 19 comments Okay, so I read the play this week, and then re-watched the episode just now! It was interesting seeing the episode use some of the same people from the play, but in a different way. For instance, Martha Corey wasn't accused because she read books in the episode - it was because she was "talking to birds" and "signed the Devil's Book" in the woods. I almost feel like they missed an opportunity for emotional, given that Lucy is a professor and author. Also, Elizabeth Proctor's "crimes" of using the poppet to voodoo were shifted to Alice Parker.

It was good to read this one again! I hadn't read it since high school - and I didn't particularly pay attention then, either.
