Have fun :)

message 4: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2052 comments Thank you guys! :)
I'm still considering where to start...

message 5: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 5795 comments I advise you to start with the most difficult (IMO): A book by an author under 25, A book published before 1970 and A book over 800 pages.

You can use The Poppy War for the author under 25. I'll be reading it beginning of August, in case you want to join me... :p

message 6: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2052 comments I've been eyeing The Poppy War as I heard a lot of good things about it. Would you be good with middle of august as well? :)

message 7: by Virginie (last edited Jul 17, 2018 06:57AM) (new)

Virginie | 5795 comments I just checked your tracker, we have the Kings of the Wyld and Witcher #2 in common. I'm guessing you want to read Poppy War in between, somewhere around the 15th? I'd be up for that :D

message 9: by Virginie (new)

Bea | 2052 comments Sir Anni wrote: "You know, I've got a temporary job at a rest home. I'm used to cheer for the Bingo winners :D"

Hahaha!
I did an internship at a rest home a few years ago but I was mostly cheering for the bowling winners :)

message 40: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5048 comments Ahh, too bad, we don't have a bowking lane :/

message 41: by Bea (last edited Sep 12, 2018 11:30AM) (new)

Bea | 2052 comments We didn't have a bowling lane either, actually.
We used to play in one of the narrower corridors and laid out a thick carpet to protect the floor.
It went pretty well and the old people loved it (I didn't like it so much because I was always the one who had to run after the balls and bring them back 😅)

message 42: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5048 comments Sounds great! :) I only work at the reception area and the cafeteria. But it's a small house, so I knew most of the 'active' inhabitants. I get the best knitting tips from the lovely ladies there (and all the soccer scores from the also lovely gentleman... Not that I care 😂).

message 43: by Bea (new)

message 47: by Angela, I'm Silverfox lost (new)

Angela | 3604 comments Mod
Your challenge is looking great Bea. Not too many left to do.

message 48: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2052 comments Thanks Angela!

The only one where I don't really know which book I can use is 17. I don't think I have one specific book I wanted to read for more than one year and I don't have my GR account long enough to check.
Can I use a book I've been wanting to reread for a long time?

message 49: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2052 comments A book over 800 pages: Ascendant's Rite
My edition has over 800, even though the most popular one has only 608 pages (I fell cheated ^^)

message 50: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2052 comments A book you can ead in one day: The ABC Murders
