MJD | 331 comments The book of Jonah was my favorite of this set. It read as a straightforward short-story, and is written in a way that I think that a general audience should be able to enjoy it easily (i.e. it can easily work as an interesting story for people of various religious beliefs, or no religious beliefs, to enjoy).

I for one really like the mini-story about the gourd. I took from it a lesson that one should not be too prideful of good fortune or too down about bad fortune because both are fleeting and beyond one's control.
