Xwft | 97 comments Levi lay, staring blankly at the meal roof above him. A small beam of light filtered through a gap in the metal. Shining directly against his face it made the gold rings circling up ears gleam with a soft yellow glow. It made Lev’s naturally tanned skin glow even more which you could say looked rather pleasant. But pleasant and Lev were words that never went together. Especially when you look at his moods. It was about noon yes, and yes Lev hadn’t left the dorms despite waking up almost four hours ago. He was in one of his moods. The mood the made him not being at all bothered with doing any work. Lev had no place to be today, other than his so called ‘job’ but screw that, he wasn’t meant to be here therefore he didn’t need to do anything he didn’t want to. Scavenging was just too much work right now and Lev didn’t feel like poking around it wreckage of ship.

Closing his eyes, Lev finally found himself getting bored. He had spent those few hours day dreaming or poking around in the small dorm room. There was nothing much to look at really, no one left much stuff in rooms like these being they had there own places. However Lev hadn’t been given a tent. It was kinda like a way of revenge. He refused to help so they refused to give him a place of his own. Well jokes on them being Lev was used to sleeping on floors and hard grounds. It’s one of the strange talents you get from having a father like Levi’s. But despite all that it didn’t stop Lev being bored. His hands mindlessly fiddled bracelet that hung around his wrist while he thought. Small habit of his it was, fiddling with his jewels even if it was one of the abundance of earrings he wore. He had given himself a few injuries because of playing with his jewels. Sometimes he was just a bit rough, especially with himself.

Finally, with a surprising amount of effort, Lev sat up swinging his feet over so they dangled over the side of the bunk. He really didn’t want to move, as soon as he showed his face everyone would try put him to work and Levi didn’t want to work. Lev sighed, he had to cure his boredom somehow, even if it was traveling into the hands of the enemies. Pushing off, Levi lept from the top bunk landing with only a soft clang of metal. Another trick you learnt from having a dad like Levi’s, being as silent as possible even on the most loudest of terrain. Straightening his hair, tucking the long strands of black behind his ears revealing the hoops climbing up his ears. Many hated his jewelry, that’s why he wore it. At this current moment he had a line of rings all the way up his ears. A woven gold bracelet as well as a silver hair tie hung on his wrist. An leather anklet rested on his ankle to complete his look. No necklaces today he felt what he had was enough being he often didn’t bother with putting all the ring in his ears. But today that’s just what he felt like doing.

With no plan on what he was going to do, Levi headed through the small room towards the door. Who knows maybe he could find someone to entertain him. Lev was in on of his best moods, despite feeling extremely lazy, meaning he could tolerate a few people. Maybe he could even be convinced to actually do some work if they actually tried. Either way he felt like a challenge so he would try find one. Lev had a knack finding trouble and that’s exactly what he was going to do right now. He had a thirst for trouble, life on earth was so different from life up on the ship and he had started missing it. So despite not being able to join his little group he was still going to have a little fun. Rules were made to be broken after all.

Priscilla Sage (priscillasage) | 67 comments Phoenix removed the white lab coat she had been wearing as she walked down one of the paths to the dorms. She had been with Thistle in the plant lab helping with a project they had been working on. She would still be there if Thistle hadn't insisted that she get some rest and knew it was an argument that she wouldn't win. She sighed gently as she continued to walk. She began thinking that rest might be a good idea if she was meeting with Mia later. For that she need to be prepared because she was never sure what might happen when she was with her. Either way she wanted to be prepared. As she continued to walk she was greeted with a few hellos, which still seemed strange to her. When she reached the dorms she glanced around to make sure no one else was around. It seemed to be a habit that she had but wasn't sure why. She put her hand on the door shaking her head and opened it. As she stepped inside she heard a noise behind her that cause her to turn her head. In doing so she completely missed the person that was walking towards her causing her to bump into him.

Maetyu laid stomach-down on his bunk at the far end of the room. His hands were clasped between his knees, like always, and he was fast asleep — until there was a loud clatter. Of course this woke him. He jerked his head up and opened his sleep-narrowed eyes.
His hair was messy, sticking up on one side of his head. He couldn’t see that, though, so he didn’t care. He was still wearing his black pants and black-and-white striped sweater, which had a grease stain from scavenging yesterday. He was halfway under the covers — but most were kicked back and tangled in a mess on the floor. It had been a bad sleep for him, and he was still exhausted. He scanned the room until he finally spotted the waking culprits.
Upon seeing two people run into each other, he snorted quietly, an almost-laugh. He waited for the apologies to start, but then realized that one of the people was Levi. Of course it was. Who else would be able to cut Maetyu’s sleep short? He yawned and put his head back down, but continued observing the pair.
He really hadn’t wanted to move here, but his cousin had kicked him out. Morgan was no good, he knew, and he had no idea why he even agreed to share a tent with her in the first place. The tent had been small as hell anyways, and with two people? No way. It had worked for about a month. That was it, though. He was thankful to be out of her reach, though the matresses were wire-and-straw here. He had his sleeping bag, so it wasn’t that bad. The worst part of it was having to share with other people. They woke him up at every hour, so he never got his much-needed sleep.

Xwft | 97 comments Levi liked to think himself observant, often picking up on things other didn’t. However that didn’t stop him having his moments when he completely blanked making a fool of himself. Levi never let his guard down but being down on earth softened him. He had no more people out for his blood and had no real reason to watch his back. Long story short Levi completely didn’t see the other person approaching him until it was too late. Smacking head first into the other person Levis survival instinct kick in. As he stumbled back Levi quickly decided whether he should fight or flight. His body natural formed into a battle stance but was fully prepared to hit run if this was a losing fight. Not that Levi ever got beaten easy. Years of training made it that way.

However Levi quickly noticed it was just someone girl from the camp. Phoenix was her name, if he remembered right. Forcing his muscles to relax Levi stood straight tucking his thumbs into his pockets to stop them forming fists.
“Watch where you're going next time.” Levi growled but for once his voice didn’t sound to hostile.
Levi was in one of his better moods but that didn’t stop him being slightly annoyed for being panicked for no reason. He was also aware of the person at the end of the room waking letting out a just audible yawn. Their collision hadn’t exactly been quite after all. Assessing his situation Levi flicked a look at the other human on the bed. He couldn’t place a name to the figure but Levi had seen him in this little room more often than not. Levi shot him a quick glare not appreciating his watchful eye but as for now he wasn’t a threat so Levi changed to surveying the girl in front of him. His icy eyes flicking over her taking in everything. She looked strong and slim, perfect for sneaking around unnoticed but able to resolve conflicts when getting in them. He also noticed her as the other stow away. He also knew she was a freak with some weird mind power things but that was beside his point. He doubted she would use it and Levi would not be afraid to make sure didn’t. Being if there was one thing he knew about this girl was her tendency to help. Which was the biggest difference between the two being Levi didn’t like doing work when she did more than her fair share. However this played well for Levi. Very well. The corner of Levis mouth turned up into a half smile.
“Perfect timing by the way. I was just looking for something to do.” He said making sure to stand in her way so she couldn’t get past without him letting her.
Levi wasn’t one to do work but then again on the right days he could be rather helpful. And he felt like a woodland stroll.
“You should know is there any… Little job needing to be done I feel like doing something and you are always doing something.” He said. “So who better to ask then you.” Levi personally hated asking the head’s of whoever was in charge.
They were always so demanding and it annoyed him. Levi took requests not orders. Orders was how he got in trouble. That’s how it had always been and he wasn’t about to change it now.

Priscilla Sage (priscillasage) | 67 comments Phoenix stepped back startled trying not to go into attack mode. She had been like this for the pass few days, completely on edge. She didn’t understand why, and it was to hard to put it in words. This made hard for her to talk to Thistle about it. She had thought of going to Mia but never did. She didn’t want them to worry or be bothered by it. She had caused enough trouble for them as it is. She blinked at the guy that stood in front of her. He was familiar… Suddenly a memory of the research labs came to her. “Had he been there?” She thought put pushed it aside. Letting the distraction of the other person in the dorm replace it. She gave him an apologetic look before returning her attention to the guy in front of her letting her mahogany eyes study him.
“Really?” She finally replied softly realizing who he was. She knew he had stowed away just as she had but couldn’t recall their actual interaction during the time. She had heard rumors about him but didn’t really believe some of the things that were said. She didn’t know that he had an issue with command and with doing work but then again so did many others. “I’m sure there are others better than me to give you answers…” She paused a moment. “But if you really want to… I heard that they wanted a group to go deeper into the forest than our current boarders…” She said quietly as she gave an inward sigh. No one knew the truth of why she was always helping do things. She found that if she kept busy no one would notice that she was trying to distract herself from things in the past or that she wasn’t sleeping as she probably should. She pushed those thoughts away. “I doubt they’ll do it but no one said that you couldn’t take a crew out.”

Maetyu wasn’t usually one to get involved with conversations that didn’t concern him. He was more of an observer. When he heard them start to talk amongst themselves about watching out and such, he crossed his arms and laid his head on them. He was still awake, not wanting to miss the clearly ‘important’ conversation, but he was also really tired.
Last night had been particularly hard for him, what with his grandmother’s sickness and all. Her health had been deteriorating so quickly. He was really, honestly worried about her. He hadn’t slept at all; instead his brain had tortured him with all of the possibilities. Death, loss of a limb, even obscene things like heart transplants. He convinced her they’d eventually find a solution, but even he didn’t believe himself.
He rolled back over onto his side, staring at the wall and blocking out the voices - until he heard something about a job. He frowned, and then sat up quickly. The remaining sheet fell off of him. A job. Paid, or just for fun? He could use a distraction, but he still needed money. He had about a million questions stewing inside his mind. He swung his legs off the side of the bed and propped his elbows on them, cupping his face in his hands and listening intently.

Xwft | 97 comments Levi raised an eyebrow a slight smirk on his face. Going into the forest… Well Levi would not be the smartest one to bring on that little mission but no one would be able to stop him. He got himself on this freaking ship in the first place nothing could really stop him.
“Interesting.” Levi hummed. “I mean a little adventure can’t hurt. I haven’t been out in the forest in ages and why not do something little, productive when out. You want to join me?” He asked wondering whether he just gave her a demand or a request.
Levi wasn’t one to order being he himself knew what it was like to be demanded around. However Levi had been the one giving orders in his group. He was literally given the role of second in command so he had gotten very used to giving orders. He also wanted it get to know his stow away buddy even if she seemed a bit annoying. Who knows maybe he could gain himself a partner.

Now though Levi wasn’t looking at him he knew full well that Maetyu was listening. Levi could feel his eye on his back and was also aware of the slightly rustle of blankets as Maetyu moved about. And Levi did his best to ignore him but it slowly got more and more annoying until Levi snapped. Spinning on his heel he turned to face Meatyu strands of hair falling into Levis eyes. He didn’t tuck them away though, letting the midnight black stands hang over his icy eyes.
“What exactly are you looking at?” Levi snapped folding his arms his eye giving him a deadly glare.
Despite not paying attention Levi kept an ear Phoenix just in case she did anything weird. Levi was slow to trust after everything. In fact he never fully trust someone. The last thing he needed was another knife in the back. Levi’s reason for getting made at Meatyu wasn’t because he didn’t like the attention like it seemed. In fact, Unless it was bad attention like someone selling him out to trying to pick a fight, Levi he was one to take advantage of attention normally taking it as an opportunity to recruit a few more to his group. However down on earth he didn’t have any group. So he now classified any attention as hostile and needed to be dealt with.

However… Levi could wield a knife if need be and knew where to aim for but he never ever got taught to fight. He relied on his knowledge of the ship and his ability to run. So despite his love for picking fights if he went against a professional he would probably be on the losing side. Even with someone who couldn’t fight all you had to do was tire him out. If you kept him going long enough his leg would get the better of him either making him slower of forcing him to concede. Of course people had to notice his wound before using it against him. He was getting very good at hiding his limp but… He wasn’t magic and couldn’t always hide it. Especially on days like this when no matter what he needed to do something whether is pushed his limp to the max or not. But Levi learnt the best tips for winning against worst odds and the horribleness of people. All it was was an act. As long as you put on a brave smile, confidence stance, and bored voice you could make even the toughest of people tremble. Faking it till you make it had never been more true than in the criminal world.

His attention peaked when they mentioned the forest — that was scout and guard territory, not for two stowaways. They’d get themselves killed by a trigger-happy guard. By Morgan. he could see the event unfolding. and he had half a mind to leap up and tell them not to go when Levi turned.
Maetyu had only intended on listening. That’s what he was best at, after all; he’d never been a real speaker. Except with his dad, but that didn’t count. You’re allowed to tell your dad things you would tell no one else. Plus, it wasn’t like he had any friends he could tell. He’d grown used to the strict, controlling atmosphere of the dirty work, and he’d been silent for days on end. After a whole childhood like that, it was hard for him to speak his mind sometimes.
He grumbled something obscene when Levi turned his attention to him. He knew Levi was one of the … most aggressive of his roommates, and he didn’t want to get involved in a fight that would end disastrously. He knew that his fighting wasn’t nearly as good as Levi’s; he hadn’t been trained professionally or anything. Sure, he practiced occasionally, out in the empty fields, but that didn’t really count. He was no match for a guy who knew all the ins and outs.
But, he couldn’t help but smirk at Levi’s aggravation. It wasn’t easy to make that guy angry. So, Maetyu merely raised an eyebrow. “Listening,” He said truthfully. What else was there to tell?

Priscilla Sage (priscillasage) | 67 comments Phoenix didn't answer for a moment as Levi spoke to the other guy in the dorms. She smiled in spite of things that could happen. "He should come since he already knows what we're up too." She said softly. She watched Levi closely. "I mean.... We don't exactly know what we'll find..." She glanced at the other guy for a moment then turned her attention back to Levi. "I actually think I might know where they are saying it is." She informed them but didn't go into details of how she knew this. It was quite possible that it was near where she had been after the crash happened. She was still a bit confused by the time span she had missed. The last thing she really remembered was running from the crash and then Thistle finding her in the forest. All she had to do was grab her pack and she was ready. It was already cleared that she wouldn't be needed in the lad for at least a few days. She suddenly smiled thinking. "She was only doing her part even if there was some self interest also involved." She crossed her arms. "We need to go before someone else decides to...."

(Sorry it took so long...)

Levi had no idea what he was expecting. He should have known the answer he would have gotten and honesty he wasn’t surprised but it but it still annoyed him.
“Good job captain obvious.” Levi grumbled rolling his eyes.
He wanted to say more but bit his tongue. Maetyu was smart, not taking the bait or any of Levis prompts. Oh well, Levi would eventually find what made him tick. As well as knowing the in’s and out of buildings he also made a it his goal to know the ins and outs of people. Knowing exactly what made them tick. Therefore with a flick of a finger he could make people bend at his will. After all that was how he became the second in command. Bribery and blackmail.

Now just because Levi was kinda a control freak doesn’t mean he didn't listen to others. So as Phoenix spoke Levi shut up and listened, slightly intrigued to what she had to say. And to be fair she had a point. Levi knew what happened when you left someone to sell you out. His little gang had been all about backstabbing. You had to watch your back, trust no one or you would end with a knife in it whether it be figurative or not. Levi had a feeling he would get in a lot of trouble if the ‘commander’ found out about his little trip. He was already pushing the limits by being here let alone breaking more 'rules.'
“Fine……” Levi grumbled. “I suppose you have a point. Not that we need a guard it’s not like in going to walk up to a bear or something.” Lev said letting his hand relax by his side as he became more at peace with this situation.
As long as Levi held some power of where they were going and what was happening he was mostly all good. Levi wasn’t used to having no power after all. Even if he was only controlling what he did it was enough. If there was one thing he hated it was being told what to do. However by the sound of it Levi had to go put trust in the other stow away being she seemed to know where they were meant to be going… or planing to go.

Levi switched his attention back to Phoenix as she spoke continuing to keep an eye on Maetyu just in case.
“So you want to go now?” Levi asked raising an eyebrow.
Well having her tag along wouldn't be to bad right? Truth be told Lev did need someone to lead him being he had no idea where he was meant to be going and some company might be nice.
“Mmm sure ok. Well then we probably should be leaving.” Levi said heading over to the little satchel that rested on his bed.
It was given to him intending on being used as a scavenger bag however Levi used it for everything but that. It was filled with basic things like food, water, some medicinal stuff enough to last a day or two. Levi wasn’t often out more than two days. He said it was because he got bored and wanted semi good food but it was more because Levi wasn’t the best at living in forests alone. Also his leg wound eventually got the better of him forcing him to stop. But he never would admit that, weakness was just another vantage point for others.
“Right come along.” Levi said slinging the satchel around his shoulder.
He also slipped his hand under the ‘mattress’ wrapping his hand around the handle of a knife. He always kept one close like under his his bed. He never trusted anyone on the camp. He slipped it quickly into a halter by his waist that was conveniently covered by his ill-fitting top. With a smug smile Levi headed back towards the entrance of the dorm.
“Lead the way.” Levi gestured for Phoenix to take the lead, his pride not big enough to care whether he lead or not as long as he knew where, nor did he care about the fact that it was a female.
However he did wait for Maetyu giving a sharp flick of his head telling him to get a move on and join them. Levi didn’t trust anyone but this Maetyu guy was putting him more on edge more than normal. Levi would just play it safe. If worse came to worse that why he had his knife. They would be wrong to assume that he hadn’t killed before, and they would be wrong to think he wouldn’t do it again. He planed not to but…. If necessary Levi did what he had to to survive. If he had been smarter back when he was younger he wouldn’t have these wounds. Levi very quickly learnt from his mistakes, and he wasn’t about to repeat them any time soon.

Maetyu could very distinctly hear them talking about him. He didn’t mind, of course, as long as they were discussing how to bring him along. He still didn’t like being talked about behind his back, though. He stood up and tried to discreetly change his shirt in the corner so that the girl wouldn’t see; he didn’t care about the guy. As he was pulling the collar of his shirt (a relatively new one, only worn five times so far) over his head, he saw Levi flick his head towards Maetyu. Wait, they were already leaving? He’d lost track of the conversation, apparently.
He hurriedly forced the shirt over his head, which caused it to catch on one of his damned earrings and rip through his ear. He groaned. It didn’t hurt, but it was always a pain to stich his earlobe back together. Plus, it bled. A lot.
He pressed the sleeve of his shirt (goodbye, brand-new) to his ear to stem the bleeding. He grabbed his bag from the foot of his bed and jogged down the hall after his new partners. He still wasn’t sure what they were doing, but it sure was better than sitting around a debri field all day long.

"And we've got the guard part covered." She said as she turned from Levi to walk out the door. As she stepped out she turned to the left of the structure to go around the corner towards the back. There was no one there and nothing of much interest for others. She glanced back to make sure Levi and Maetyu were behind her. She paused a moment to make sure the way was completely clear then ran towards a group of trees. She paused once she was within the safety of the tree trunks. She turned to watch the guys join her. Some how she knew this was going to be an adventure none of them would forget. She just hoped Thistle and Mia would understand and not kill her for going on this adventure.

Levi had lost track of what was even going on. Since when had Maetyu taken off his top? And why? Man some people had a weird idea of how to impress girls. Rolling his eyes, Levi turned from Maetyu letting him do his thing. Levi didn’t want to get blamed for staring, wouldn’t that just be awkward. Levi followed Phoenix outside creeping around the side of the building trying not to attract attention. It would be better for people not to notice them, there would be less blood shed if they remained unnoticed.

Glancing behind him to make sure Maetyu was indeed following, Levi noticed him holding the hem of his top to his ear. Levi slowed his pace eyes scanning the older boy before coming to a stop at the blood stained fingers. He followed it up seeing the blood the blossomed through the tops fabric. A almost sympathetic smile formed on Levis lips as he joined the dots. It wasn’t often Levi fond other males who wore jewelry, In fact many still frowned down at it which just made Levi wear more. He too had many scars on his ear from tearing earrings. In fact he had little scars all the way up his ears from it. He liked his multiple piercings and the golden hops the rested in them. But when shuffling through tiny gaps they were not the best thing. Levi gave Maetyu a knowing nod, it didn’t hurt exactly but it was extremely annoying and highly inconvenient. But it wasn't life threatening and Maetyu would be fine so they would deal with it later. Right now they had a little exploring to do.

Levi stayed on Phoenix’s heels the whole time keeping his eyes open for people looking their way. However none seemed to even glance their way, not many people liked to question Levi. When Phoenix ran Levi was right behind her favoring his left leg as he ran but still managing to keep up. Slowly the ground under his feet changed from dirt to small bushes and tree roots that seemed more than happy to cling to his legs. Trees slowly started blocking out the sun covering Levi in a familiar shadow as she ran. However he stopped when Phoenix stopped slowing to come in beside her.
“Now where?’ He asked taking deep breaths trying to slow his panting.
Levi wasn’t one to run for long periods of time nor was he one to know directions very well. He liked exploring, liked learning off all the possible escape routes. Truth be told though that despite his ‘job’ he had never been in the forest… like ever. So he was relaying a lot on his guides despite not liking to place this much trust in someone. He glanced behind him making sure Maetyu was still there and hadn’t scampered off to sell them out. Not that he thought he would at this point but you could never be too cautious.

Maetyu followed them down the tented hallways. He honestly had no idea what was going on; he’d been a bit spaced out earlier. But he was going now, and he could ask questions later.
He narrowed his eyes at Levi’s knowing smile. Like he could relate. Maetyu doubted Levi’s piercings had been done with a needle and an ice cube. Then again, maybe they had. Not that he cared, at all. It was a small detail that always gave him pride, that his father had done them. Of course, it had led to numerous infections, but it was a small part of his father that he could hold on to.

He started running when the others did, not sure why. He was a total conformist, and he knew it. He kept his eyes trained on Levi’s back as to not lose the two of them. The dirt under his feet was unforgiving and packed down from hundreds of feet, and it jarred him with every footstep until it turned into grass, which he was immensely grateful for. He couldn’t help but notice Levi’s limp, but he didn’t comment. He knew how annoying it was when people noticed things that you tried to keep hidden. *cough*earring*cough*.
When they finally stopped, he planted his feet firmly, not going anywhere for a while. He needed a bit of a break, and not just because he wasn’t as tall as either of them. The sun was very hot today, and it didn’t bode well for his pale skin.
He crossed his arms, a frown covering his face. “What exactly are we going?”

She glanced back at the camp with a sigh before looking at the guys. "I've seen what the others were talking about..." She paused the shrugged. "We need to go this way..." She said looking away as she turned to walk further in the forest. A familiar calm covered her. She didn't look back to see if the others were following her.

Leaning against tree while he waited for everyone to figure out where they were going, Levi twisted the bracelet on his wrist. The only reminder he had of his mother despite never meeting her. Either way he held a lot of memories, Levi had seen a few photos all of which his mum had this exact bracelet on. He never had the chance to ask it’s importance but considering he had to dig through a pile of trash to get it it held some importance. Enough so his father saw it necessary to waste his time throwing it out. No matter, It was his mum's and she loved it, that was enough for Levi. Having a piece of the mother he never had, a reminder of the family he could have had. Who knew two strips of gold woven together could be so important but… They were. Levi would die if he ever lost this. He had lost enough things in his life. In a way this was the last thing holding him together. The last fleck of kindness he had.

Now Levi had enough attitude of his own. He had lived in a world where most things people said were sarcastic or at least weren’t friendly. However he scowled as Maetyu seemed to decide then was the best time to snap a question. It was annoying in two ways. One, it interrupted Levis train of thought, despite the fact he didn’t really want to continue it. And Two, it was a dumb question. Levi was about to reply telling him to shut it and just follow but Phoenix got in before him. Which was probably for the better, Levis lack of thinking before speaking often got him into more trouble then was good for him. So all Levi did was roll his eyes moving back to standing.
“Well then, let’s go.” He said moving past Maetyu and Phoenix putting himself in the lead.
Why? Cause he could. Levi like leading and despite not needing to being in front felt good. If he was going the wrong way he was sure Phoenix could redirect him.

As he walked the silence of the woods covering him, only the chatter of birds filling the air, Levi found himself quite at peace with it all. From pictures it was obvious his mum liked nature or at least liked outside. There were also lots of pot plants around his house, they were dead now, neither he nor his dad had time to deal with plants. However Levi could see why his mother liked it. It was calming in a way, the soft noise of the forest were kinda nice. Maybe he should come out more often, as a form of….Therapy. Levi instantly denied that thought. Therapy, he didn’t need that what was wrong with him. He grumbled to himself a frown replacing the soft smile that had just occupied his lips. As he continued going Levi swore he heard a growl of something not so friendly in the surrounding woods. Maybe it was just his eyes but he also didn’t think birds were the size of human and he was sure that was what he saw prowling through the underbrush beside them. But then again maybe he was seeing and hearing things. Thinking himself going slightly insane Levi ignored it marching on as if nothing had happened keeping his steps steady despite the trickle of pain starting spreading form his marked leg.

Unfortunately, Maetyu wasn't blind. He noticed how much he was aggravating Levi, and, to be honest, it was kind of funny. Although, he couldn't help but wonder what led to his awful limp, or what attachment he had to that hideous bracelet.

Do you have a problem with me? Maetyu thought, directing all of his bad energy towards Levi. He saw the way the other boy rolled his eyes, and how he purposely put himself at the front of the group.

Honestly, Maetyu was still blank on everything. He hadn't exactly been listening, he supposed. Maybe he'd still been half asleep or something. He only really knew that they were going into the forest, to the place where this girl had been found - insert question mark - and doing something. He should probably be filled in on what dark ritual they were preforming before he ended up sacrificing his left wrist or something. His arms remained crossed and his face sour. "And what are we doing?" He asked skeptically. He'd just wanted an excuse to get out of his dorm, but now he wasn't so sure.

Priscilla Sage (priscillasage) | 67 comments Phoenix let Levi take the lead for now since they were heading in the right direction. She smiled to herself as she listened to the guys banter but said nothing about it. She didn't know much about either of them or if she had she didn't remember. Yet, she remembered Levi. She knew she had seen him before and not just during the drop. It had to be at some point when she had been in the lab. Fortunately he didn't seem to remember it which might be a good thing. She glanced back to Meatyus with a sigh. "We are going beyond their boarders to find out what they are so afraid of." She replied to his question. "And answers to what happened." She shrugged. "Nobody has ever been beyond the boarders... Well, except for me." She paused to take in the sounds of the forest around them. "We'll shortly be at the creek, where we'll go west." She suddenly said. "Anyone that doesn't want to continue is welcomed to go back."

Xwft | 97 comments Levi glanced behind him giving a sharp look to Meatyu.
“Do you really have to question every little thing.” He growled. “Why can’t you just walk and keep your mouth shut.” However Phoenix, the only calm one between them, had already cut him off explaining Meatyus question. “Whatever.” Levi mumbled but made a note to keep his steps quieter to he could over hear what Phoenix said to Meatyu.
It would be fair to say Levi was curios. He did want to know where Phoenix was taking them despite him leading. Which he was thankful of Phoenix letting him do, not that he would’ve taken no for and answer. Either way Phoenix could be leading them to some deadly place and using them a bait for all he knew. So Levi was rather curious to what she had to say. Despite it lack of questioning, which wasn’t unusual. Levi liked to seem in charge and asking questions would make him seem confused and weak. Actually that is probably how he got into most situations. His lack of questioning anyone leading him, despite him almost always being in front, would mean he wandered head first into traps. Hence why he liked to lead.

“Wait, wait, wait, wait.” Levi said looking back to Phoenix. “What exactly are people too afraid of that we are going to find?” Levi asked raising an eyebrow in question.
It would explain all the weird noises he was hearing in the woods but that still didn’t mean he wanted to find anything. People here weren’t afraid of much. If something bad was happening then Levi wanted no part in it.
“Cause news flash I asked for something to do not for a suicide mission.” Levi didn’t want no answers he wanted to stay alive with no bloodthirsty monsters attacking him.
As Phoenix paused Levi did so too listening to the low growls coming from the woods around them. Maybe he was hearing things but he was slowly starting to not like this idea much. Either way Phoenix continued so Levi did as well scoffing when she said people could back out. He didn’t like this idea, but just cause he didn’t like it didn’t mean he would back down. What would Meatyu think of him then? He couldn’t back out unless given good reason to. And other then creepy things in the woods and whatever thing Phoenix was talking about, there was no good reason.

It only took a little while to reach the small creek, a sliver of water that ran through the woods. Levi hadn’t gone far enough to know where it began or stopped. His job was to collect things but….. Levi almost never left camp. He didn’t bother to make sure the others were there before turning west as phoenix told him, continuing on the path she said until the ground seemed to change. If possible the bush got denser, shrubs clung to his ankles as he walked threading it trip him. The trees were more tightly woven together, the sun fighting though the thick canopy above. The dirt was loose and uneven having no footsteps to trample it down. Noises of animals were more frequent. Squeaks from bunnies, soft melodies for birds as well as the ever present growl form the predators . The guards had pushed all animals further and further away from camp, especially the meat eating ones. Levi slowed to a stop, it was clear no one had been her in a long time therefore, as bad as it looked, this was where Phoenix was meaning.
“Well, looks like we found your place.” Levi said glancing into the darkened forest only fingers of sun lighting his way. “What now? Finding some monster or something or now we are here cane go back?” He asked not being able to stop the little witty comments.
Levi didn’t like walking, and he most definitely didn’t like dark creepy forests. It was fair to say his once good mood was thoroughly destroyed.

Priscilla Sage (priscillasage) | 67 comments Phoenix followed Levi until he stopped. She looked around before turning to him. "It's not a suicide mission." She replied softly. "This is where I was found." She paused thinking. "I'm not sure what the others at camp are afraid of..." She shrugged. "I never was harmed in the time I was lost in the forest. That apparently was since the crash. I saw something that I had thought was the pod... It might be a part of it..." She didn't know if Levi was there when the place where she continued to hide fell from the rest of pod. She couldn't remember if others had been with her. "As for what's next we need to go deeper, what we are looking for is that way." She pointed towards the east. "I understand if you don't want to go on.... " She studies Levi. "But I have to know what happened..." She paused. "I have to know why I was the only one out there..... Or if there were others... What happen to them?" She turned away. "I'm sure what's there could be stuff to salvage. Whatever we find is yours unless it leads to the answers I'm looking for."

By this time, Maetyu was so frustrated with Pheonix’s vague answers he could’ve ripped out her eye. But he didn’t, of course. That would be a horrendous thing to do. He just felt like he could if he wanted.
“Stop. Stop.” When Phoenix was done speaking in her irrevocably annoying stop-start voice, Maetyu held up a hand. He was so done.
“Okay. Explain from the very beginning. And no dot-dot-dot, trailing off. None of that. I want details and a complete sentence for once. Explain everything.”
He was listening to her, of course, but his slow mind couldn’t really understand what exactly they were looking for, or why she was talking about a pod? And others? Like, it was actually fucking annoying. Levi seemed to know what she was saying, and that just made him angrier. All the while, though, he maintained his smooth poker face, not showing a morsel of emotion.

Priscilla Sage (priscillasage) | 67 comments River blinked looking at Maetyu and sighed. "That's the problem, I don't really have many." She looked away. "I only remember bits and pierces of what happened." She then took a breath. "I remember being on the base leaving from the area where the labs were. I don't remember why I was there but I was scared of something. I finally hid, I didn't want to go back." She shook her head and glanced at Levi, who was familiar but she wasn't sure why. "There was also someone else where I was hiding. Then it all went to hell." She paused taking in a sharp breath. "There was a loud boom and cracking." She then got quiet. After a moment she spoke. "I woke up. There was no lights and I was still inside in the quiet."
