Kendra (momwith4kids) | 8 comments My husband told me I get to get one of them for me to use as my anniversary present. Which one is better all in all to read books.

CBRetriever | 455 comments Kindle Unlimited offers the ability to borrow up to 10 books at a time from a subset of the Kindle books listed on Amazon )over 1 million out of 5 million)

Prime Reading is part of Amazon Prime and you get to borrow up to 10 books at a time from a subset of the Kindle Unlimited books = a bit of 1000 to select from and costs more. However Prime also offers other perks:

Neither one usually contains best sellers or books from major publishers (unless they're the first books in a series).

Randy Harmelink | 2930 comments Kendra, are you aware of my free book listings? I used to update them once a week or so, but just changed my routine, so I'll probably be doing them more often:

The "notes" on that page have tips about how to get all kinds of free books:

http://ogres-crypt.com/Kindle/index.h...

I currently have over 15,000 books in the Amazon Cloud. 99.9% of them were free.

I do post notices of my updates on GoodReads here:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

But 99.9% of the time, KU and Prime books and free books are going to be self-published books. If you're more interested in mainstream books, check to see what options you have from your local library. Many use the Overdrive or Libby sites to loan out Kindle books.

If that's not available to you, or your local library has a limited collection, the "Free Library of Philadelphia" has an extensive Overdrive collection, and an out-of-state library card is only $50 per year. Less than half the price of KU.

Kendra (momwith4kids) | 8 comments We only have axis 360 through our library. I am about to give birth to a baby via c-section and will be using my kindle a lot more for middle of the night feeding rather then a hard book.

Use one of those free book links and you should find more than a few books that interest you. Or, if you tell me your favorite genre, I could easily do a quick run through it and produce one of my lists. Much easier now that I've streamlined the process...
