Steve Sullivan | 3 comments I don’t remember much. But what does stand out is that the main character is a male who’s responsibility is to train. In the training. He attempts to get as close as possible to a device without touching it.

Who can help?

Steve Sullivan | 3 comments This book I believe was also popular in the late 90’s - at least that’s about the time I read it

A long shot - Dune (1965) by Frank Herbert comes to mind but the main character has to place his hand in a box and withstand excruciating pain.
