Guys I love this group. We're 97 strong. But the last few days I've literally been too busy. I'm covering our water crisis in Toledo for 13abc. Last month I was trapped in a hurricane. SO I'm in need of help. Would anyone be interested in sharing moderating duties? Help post info on what book? Start discussion? It's easy if we share!

message 2: by Renee (new)

Renee I could help out. Not real sure what it entails but I am a fast learner! = )

message 3: by Karen (new)

Karen Smith | 3 comments I can help too if I know what to do!!!!

message 4: by Renee (new)

Renee We could switch turns moderating month to month so it doesn't ever become too much for one person again. Just an idea?

message 5: by Karen (new)

Karen Smith | 3 comments That's a very logical idea!!! I like that!

message 6: by Molly (new)

Molly Jo | 54 comments sounds like a good plan...I say make both Karen and Renee mods so no stress for anyone and they can keep it all going smoothly if the others get too busy.

message 7: by Molly (new)

Molly Jo | 54 comments Becky are you going to add Renee and Karen on as the mods? good idea to have 2- or better yet 3 so you all can keep the group chatting and ideas posted. :)

Have a lot of members just need some direction and prodding. I am sure this winter more will be back to participate.

I for one have enjoyed the recommendations of new books and authors I would never have read before.

I would Moderate if I could choose a book which interested me. If I offered "The Kiss of The Concubine" for October, would it be alright with others?

message 9: by lc (new)

lc | 79 comments Mod
Judith Arnopp wrote "The Kiss of The Concubine."

message 10: by Renee (new)

Renee I looked into the kiss of concubine. It looks interesting but I struggle with books set that far back. But if other people want to read it I can sit this month out and pick up in October!! Just let me know!

Renee, it received a 5 star review by nearly everyone posting one. Most readers were pulled into the story within the first few pages. I do think you will enjoy it. lc

Okay, with 97 members, and books galore - let's decide on October's book. School Gate Survival Guide by

message 15: by lc (new)

lc | 79 comments Mod
School Gate Survival Guide was written by Kerry Fischer. Not related to Eddie Fisher, different spelling of both names.

message 16: by Renee (new)

Renee I am reading invisible by James Patterson and David Ellis. And I just got three books from the library but when I am through those i will deff read this one! Sounds interesting!!

Hey ladies -- my life just got SO crazy. We could just be more loose - start threads on what we're reading. Have people jump on?

message 22: by lc (new)

lc | 79 comments Mod
I'm available for Gone Girl or School House Gate.

message 23: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 81 comments Mod
Molly -- how is the Jack Reacher series? I'm sort of interested.

message 24: by Molly (new)

Molly Jo | 54 comments I am on book #4...guess I am hooked! was talking to a friend last night and she has read them all, as have a couple other friends. You do not have to read them in order. they made a movie out of one starring Tom Cruise...the book is so much better!

I ordered Gone Girl and will read it in Jan with you LC

P.S. I think the group died other than Renee, Molly Jo, and me.

message 43: by Molly (new)

Molly Jo | 54 comments yes it is pretty dead, so think I will also move on. Thanks so much for the recommendations and time you have spent but hard to have a book club with so little participation. :(

Am sure you can find one that will be more active with reading and discussions, like you need lc!! Thanks again for all your time!

message 44: by Renee (new)

Renee I feel the same way. Might be time to move on also.

But it was fun while it lasted
