It surprises me that a book written in 1936 on crime and mystery can hold my attention to this level.
I am impressed by Philip Marlowe...

I'm torn on it so far. I feel like there are enough characters that I'm just having trouble keeping track of who they all are and how they relate to the story. And this from someone who's managed to work through the Song of Ice and Fire series! I'm liking the overall feel of it and I think I'll like it by the end, but right now I mostly feel confused. And the bodies are mounting up!

And what about those sisters? Wow...
