Laura (elizachillman) | 6 comments I own a book which I have just added as a new edition. There is no ISBN because it was published in 1963. 1963 is also the date when the book was first published, and there is no reference to an edition number, or to other published dates in the book. Does this mean that it's a first edition? I haven't added the edition number to the book details yet in case that is a false assumption. Thanks for any guidance.

It is not required to add the particular edition in the edition field, though. I usually only do it if the book specifically states it.
