Here is the nominations thread for September's Book of the Month and Group Buddy!

If you're looking for any ideas...
-You can nominate any CF book you've had your heart set on that follows the guidelines.
-You can nominate a book by the Author of the Month for September, which is Elizabeth Camden.
-You can nominate one that will work for the monthly challenge for September, which is "I love Fall" - books that have to do with the season of fall (find Cheryl's full description of it here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...).

PLEASE REVIEW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Please do not nominate a book we've already read as a group. You will be asked for a different nomination if you do. Find our shelves here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books....
-Remember that a book must be out for 3 months or more to be eligible for nominations and voting
-Try not to nominate an author that we've read that year already
-If it is a book in a series that is not the first book, make sure you know that it can be read as a standalone and doesn't require the previous books being read to understand and enjoy.
-Please note that there may be more reasons that a book is not a good fit for nominations or group members as a whole, whether it be availability, cost, accessibility, etc. The moderators reserve the right to make these decision. Thank you for your understanding! :)

Nominations will be open until July 15.

Nominations as of July 10:
1. A Dangerous Legacy by Elizabeth Camden
2. Into the Whirlwind by Elizabeth Camden
3. Frasier Island by Susan Page Davis
4. Written in Love by Kathleen Fuller
5. Returning Home by Toni Shiloh
6. Child of the River by Irma Joubert

For anyone thinking about nominating one of Elizabeth Camden's novels, we have read a few of hers as a group. With Every Breath by Elizabeth Camden & Until the Dawn (Until the Dawn, #1) by Elizabeth Camden were within the last three years, so those are not eligible. The others were before 2014, so they are fair game, as are her releases from more recent years.

Typical NF isn't done for group reads. We did used to have a non-fiction group read in addition to the fiction, but it kind of fizzled out. :)

Ah, okay. I'll see which fiction books I might be getting to that month and come back to nominate something. Thank you!

Carolyn | 218 comments I don't know if this qualifies as a christian fiction; Carbs and Cadavers (A Supper Club Mystery, #1) by J.B. Stanley ARE THERE TWO VERSIONS:

I'll nominate Frasier Island (Frasier Island #1) by Susan Page Davis . I read the second book in the trilogy a long time ago and enjoyed it. Now that I have a copy of the first and third books as well, I'd like to read them in order. Frasier Island is book one.

Chris | 311 comments I nominate Written in Love by Kathleen Fuller. This is the first in her new series. Written in Love (Amish Letters, #1) by Kathleen Fuller

Carolyn, this appears to be cozy mystery but it doesn't appear to be Christian cozy mystery. Although I'm not well read in that category, so I could be wrong.

Beth, would you please add the book in message #11 (Chris's nomination) to the list in your top comment?

Chris, I'm so sorry we missed that! We'll get it fixed soon. Thank you for your patience. For future reference: In the desktop version of Goodreads, above the comment box, there is a button that says, "add book/author." That will allow you to link to a book.

I’m sorry, when I last looked last night there was not another comment, how weird! I’m on the app so can’t add it until later, but no worries, it’ll get there.

Chris, it’s not necessary to add the book cover, unless you prefer too. As long as you’ve put the title and the author, I can find it. 😊

It's been on my TBR for way too long! I'm actually kind of annoyed at myself for how long, ha. I noticed it has leaves on it, so I thought it might also work for the fall challenge, too.
