Sandra Proto (sandraproto) | 35 comments I send mine out when I have some new news (publishing, readings, a new project. I usually wait until I accumulate a few newsworthy announcements and then send. I can be once or twice a month. You don't want to clog up anyone's inboxes. Also, what helps is being personable. At the beginning of the newsletter, I write similar like I'm introducing a subject matter on a blogpost. Also, by law, the Subscribers need to have an Opt- out (unsubscribe) choice and you need to have permission to send them your newsletter. Also, by law, you need to have a physical mailing address (Post Office is fine). Mailchimp is a free newsletter server. I hope this helps.
