It certainly gave me insight to what it was like living under the rule of Idi Amin and how ordinary people suffer at the hands of brutal dictators
But I also kept thinking about how life somehow continues - a new birth, loss of loved one, friendships, becoming a mother figure to younger siblings at age 13
And somehow how people still have dreams beyond war

Yes, I recently read this book and really enjoyed. I will put together my thoughts shortly. One of my biggest take-away from this story is how so many just were unaware of all of the details of what was causing the horrors conflicting them.
A lot of topics were well done and well illustrated in this book of little over 100 pages.
