ConnorD | 181 comments Anyone else read this book yet?

It certainly gave me insight to what it was like living under the rule of Idi Amin and how ordinary people suffer at the hands of brutal dictators

But I also kept thinking about how life somehow continues - a new birth, loss of loved one, friendships, becoming a mother figure to younger siblings at age 13
And somehow how people still have dreams beyond war

Yes, I recently read this book and really enjoyed. I will put together my thoughts shortly. One of my biggest take-away from this story is how so many just were unaware of all of the details of what was causing the horrors conflicting them.

A lot of topics were well done and well illustrated in this book of little over 100 pages.
