I found the idea of two connecting murders really original. I found the murder in the novel a bit more exciting and the motive much more interesting but it had to be like that in order to be more realistic.
I sort of guessed the murder in the book but could not understand all the details, the murder in real life I had no idea until a few pages before ;)
The characters were more fleshed out than a normal detective story which was also a big plus.
I rated it four stars.

I enjoyed the story within a story and the characters. Kept me guessing almost to the end.

When I realised we here going to be transported back to the 50s with the book within a book I was sure I would like it. I have to say out of all the books on the list this was the one I was least looking forward to. Something about just captivated me.
I did feel rather stupid recommending to my dad because it reminded me of “Midsomer Murders” (one of my dad’s favourite British dramas) I the. Read the back flap to realise it was written by the same guy! I knew I recognised the name!!
Good choice ladies I really didn’t expect to enjoy it as much. I gave it 4 stars it would have got five but I worked out who was the murder in both 🤣

I just started reading today and so far I'm really enjoying it. I look forward to discussing this book with you too.

Hope you can all make it xo

I liked it, but I feel like they could've cut a little bit out. Can't wait for the live show!
