message 16: by Lisa (new)

Lisa James (sthwnd) | 259 comments 89. A Hidden Fire-Elizabeth Hunter, first in a series of vampire romance/mystery type series. GOOD, not a ton of gratuitous sex like the Anita Blake series, & the vamps actually have real personalities, quirks, etc, unlike the Twilight world (UGH).

90. The Night Circus-Erin Morgenstern-simply pretty awesome....

message 17: by Charleen (new)

Charleen (charleenlynette) | 1534 comments Was about to respond, ooh, two people just finishing The Night Circus until I realized you're maintaining two different lists!

I think I'm the only one in the world who didn't like The Night Circus. lol.

message 19: by Charleen (new)

Charleen (charleenlynette) | 1534 comments Oh, I've heard of lots of people not liking it. I'm actually surprised I did, since it was more the way it was written than the story itself that hooked me, and usually I put a lot more importance on plot and characters than the writing itself.

This series is in my TBR. How are they?

message 29: by Lisa (new)

Lisa James (sthwnd) | 259 comments For YA, I am really enjoying them. It's fast paced so you don't get bored too.... although, I'm a little on the fence with how witchcraft is represented. It's NOT like they are saying it is. I don't know any witches who can shoot fire from their fingertips, or some of the other things they claim we can do.

message 30: by Lisa (new)

Lisa James (sthwnd) | 259 comments 98. Legacy-Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie
