Anne (victoryediting) | 72 comments Hi,
I'm not sure why it won't let me edit ISBN info since the books are mine (I'm the publisher / author), but on the older editions of Les Pensees by Lucienne Hollard Mckay, I can only edit metadata. At any rate, I've created new editions with the new covers, but the ISBNs and AISNs need to be transferred. Here's the link to one of the books:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Thanks so much!

Leslynn | 117 comments Hi Anne,

Sorry for the trouble! I gladly moved the ISBNs and ASIN for you:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

It might help to note that only the book's Goodreads Author, employees and librarians, have permissions to edit book details such as ISBNs.

Best,
Leslynn

Anne (victoryediting) | 72 comments Hi, Lyslynn,
I am the book's author, that's why I was confused. But thank you sooo much for updating that :-)

Sandra | 26910 comments Anne, despite you being the author, the author is listed as Lucienne Hollard Mckay, so you'd need to be registered under that name with GR, to be able to edit the book details. That's why you couldn't do it.

To edit a book as its author, you need to have claimed the author profile. Which also is not the case here.

Jack Strange | 19 comments Dear Goodreads Librarians,

My book "Confessions of an English Psychopath" was originally self-published using the pen-name Jack Strange. It's recently been republished by Creativia using a new pen-name: Jack D McLean. Can you combine these editions please? BTW this is a link to the new version of the book on Amazon: http://mybook.to/ConfessionsE

Finally, is it possible to change my author name on Goodreads - say to: Jack D McLean aka Jack Strange? If so, can you do it for me in such a way that I don't lose all my books and reviews?

Many thanks

Jack

Olivia (livka) | 7927 comments Hi Jack,
I created alternate cover edition in line with Goodreads policy for books published under multiple pen-names i.e. the name the book was originally published under is listed as a primary author on all editions:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
As a primary author you can set new edition as default, so it will come up in searches and show on your authors page.
https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...

Also, the Goodreads policy does not allow for multiple names on one profile, so your new pen-name will have a separate profile.
If you would like to claim a second author profile you would need to use a different e-mail address than you have used for your first profile.
