Michael Love | 1 comments Hi there

I'm looking for a book that my gf's father used to read to her

Story is about two sisters. The younger sibling is scared of the dark / bedtime so limbs in next to the older sister. They share bunk beds.

They make tent in bottom bunk. Decide that there’s a tiger outside. Smaller sister is scared but older one reassures her, saying “its bedtime for tigers too”.

The father is there also and the three of them imagine that the bedroom is the jungles and that they are travelling though it, pretending to be different animals.

Dad had a beard, white shirt and waistcoat. Girls has long nightshirt.

Book was definitely before 1997, most likely early to mid 90s

There's a toy snake hanging from the bed at one point - this toy snake turns into a real snake. There is also a tiger somewhere in the story.

Very very long shot, but if anyone has any ideas that would be awesome and greatly appreciated

Thank you

Michael, is this a picture book (about 32-48 pages) or a longer chapter book with mostly words?

Can you describe the illustrations - realistic/cartoony/cute, simple/detailed, painted watercolors/bold graphics, sunny/dark/muted colors/black & white?
