Just finished chapter 30. (view spoiler)[I think I'm most interested in Michel's story at the moment. It's interesting to see the Dynize and learn more about them. I'm liking Tenik and Yaret at the moment. And I wonder who the informant, Mara, really is. Probably somebody he's already met.

I'm liking the Styke and Vlora portions, there just isn't as much really happening with them at the moment. (hide spoiler)]

I started this morning, and I don't think I'm in the mood to read this at the moment... read maybe an hour... I'll come back around for the next BR of it, maybe, unless I have a change of "appetite" before next week... moving on to the Rithmatist...

I"m through Chapter 17 so far. Enjoying it just the same as the other books. Definitely not a take on the Chain of Dogs at all. At this point, it feels like the plot is only now really first starting to take shape.

I'm not sure what chapter I'm at, I'll have to check. I've read roughly 72%. I am really enjoying it, but the pace isn't as good as Sins of Empire. Still, I really like this world and McCellan's writing.

Just finished chapter 55. (view spoiler)[Is Ka-poel Ithracia's sister? They are both Sedial's granddaughters, and Ithracia's family is supposed to be dead, so I wonder if that's the case.

There is so much that could go wrong in all of these situations. I really just want to sit and read until the end. But then I will need book three which won't be out for another year. (hide spoiler)]

Finished a few days ago. I really enjoyed this one, but the pacing was a bit off for me. Really liked the ending.

I've been introduced to so many new authors and series this year. It will be fun to go back through and rank all the series I completed during it come December. I suspect Powder Mage will in the upper portion of it.
