If you read a historical novel this month, what did you pick? If you didn't have time this month, pick one of your favorite historical novels and tell us briefly about it.

Teri Leigh Baird | 2 comments I read Without A Country by Ayse Kulin. This is a book I would suggest to everyone! It is a fast read that follows five generations of a family who fled Germany and immigrated to Turkey in 1933. It shed light on what happened with many German academics and scientists when Hitler came into power.

Sounds fascinating! You don't see a lot of great books set in Turkey, right? The author is Turkish, so I bet she included a lot of detail about the setting. I'll put it on my list!
