Make your audience care about your character first- it's the most important thing that keeps people reading the story. It makes them want to find out what happens to the character, to make sure they make it and are okay.

Addison Carmichael | 77 comments Remember the basic tools taught in writing classes. Too many authors forget them, and it shows. Some are:

1. The best writer is a re-writer
2. When in doubt, cut it out
3. It's very easy to write a great story--you just sit down at the computer, and open up a vein.
