Jean (oberjean) | 15 comments Read this probably in 2005-2008. It was brand new at the time so would have been published around that time, early 00's to mid 00's.

Book cover was shades of purple with the main character who was from a fantasy land but had a Middle Eastern look, dark skin with long curly dark hair, and was wearing a flowing long sari-style dress on the cover.

I can't remember much of the plot, except that she ended up fleeing through the wall because one of her family members (an uncle) was vying for her crown, and she ended up somehow teleporting to New York City - where she ended up discovering about the outside world etc.

She meets a boy (naturally) but apart from that I can't remember much of the plot. She ends up going back through the wall and fighting for her crown I think but can't really remember!

Thanks!

Jean, does the princess have special powers? Is she fully human?

Could she have been called a "Lady" or definitely "Princess"?

Definitely New York City and not another large American city or London? Is it present day Earth?

What does she first see/experience after being transported?

Definitely New York as Central Park was mentioned/or possibly way of connecting to her palace! And was definitely a Princess!

Was there a romance in the book?

Nicole | 216 comments Two Moon Princess? It's been a while since I read it, it might not have been NY.

Ah sadly not, too recent! It was around 2004-2008 I think!

Thanks though :-)
