Bea | 2050 comments Cover with a house: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie And then there were none by Agatha Christie.

message 4: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 3613 comments Good start, Bea! It's a fun and easy challenge.

message 5: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments I feel like finding the last books will probably be the hardest, the rest should be relatively easy.
I just noticed that the house on that tiny cover is hardly visible but there is one :p

message 6: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 3613 comments Yeah, that's kind of where I am now with my list. :-)

message 7: by Silvana (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1843 comments I am finding it hard to find pink and metallic covers...

message 8: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Yeah, pink will be a challenge for me too. I just checked my bookshelves and I don't own a single pink book lol (at least no book that's obviously and completely PINK and not some muted rose or violet)

Circe by Madeline Miller has a metallic cover. I read it last month (hence I can't count it for the challenge) but I thought it was pretty good!

message 9: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 3613 comments I'm stuck on pink too. I say it's okay as long as it's predominately pink-ish. ;-)

message 10: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Cover with the author's name in the biggest font -> The Scar (New Crobuzon, #2) by China Miéville

message 11: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments I finished The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins but it doesn't really fit into one of the categories.

Almost forgot to add The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins for book with a purple cover

Virginie | 5783 comments Bea wrote: "I finished The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins but it doesn't really fit into one of the categories."

Mmmh. Night sky, maybe?

message 13: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments I thought about that but wasn't sure if it's enough night sky to count...

message 14: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 5783 comments I'd say it counts. It's up to you to decide, really :)

message 15: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Well, then I'll count it (and hope Scott doesn't see this since I heard he's very strict about this challenge lol)

message 16: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments I'd say since this is mostly white I can count it as white cover: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (Hercule Poirot, #4) by Agatha Christie

message 17: by Angela, I'm Silverfox lost (last edited Jul 14, 2018 11:01PM) (new)

Angela | 3629 comments Mod
Enjoy the challenge Bea. You've made a great start. Something will come up with pink on it . You can always move books around later on.

Virginie | 5783 comments Yay good job :)

message 30: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Thanks!

Cover with a woman: The Time Of Contempt (The Witcher, #4) by Andrzej Sapkowski

So I have Geralt and Yennefer (or at least I'm assuming it's meant to be them) as man and woman. That's sweet.

message 31: by Virginie (last edited Sep 24, 2018 06:24AM) (new)

Virginie | 5783 comments Oh, that's sweet indeed! You could always add a 'cover with a child' category, and use Ciri for it :p
One of the remaining books in bound to have her on the cover, right?

message 32: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Great idea!
I think this could be Ciri: Lady of the Lake (The Witcher, #7) by Andrzej Sapkowski

message 33: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 5783 comments Yeah, I think that's Ciri :)

message 34: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Cover with a weapon: The Scarlet Tides (Moontide Quartet, #2) by David Hair

message 35: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Black cover: The Return of the King (The Lord of the Rings, #3) by J.R.R. Tolkien
That cover somehow looks darker/more black in real life...

message 36: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Orange Cover: 4 50 from Paddington (Miss Marple, #8) by Agatha Christie

message 37: by Bea (new)

message 42: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Cover with a girl: Lady of the Lake (The Witcher, #7) by Andrzej Sapkowski
The witcher-family is complete! :)

message 43: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 5783 comments Woohoo :)

message 44: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Cover with a bird: The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy, #1) by Katherine Arden

message 45: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5045 comments Bea wrote: "Cover with a bird: The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy, #1) by Katherine Arden"

I own them other cover edition and they are sooo beautiful. But I like this cover as well :) I hope you liked the book, it's a perfect winter mood book in my opinion!

message 46: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Yeah, I liked it, it was perfect for December!
And there's nothing wrong with an easier read in between, right?
Have you seen this cover for the third book already?
The Winter of the Witch (Winternight Trilogy #3) by Katherine Arden
So pretty! I think I'll need to get it as soon as it comes out :)

message 47: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5045 comments Yes I did and yes it is! My problem is, that I already own these paperbacks:
The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy, #1) by Katherine Arden The Girl in the Tower (Winternight Trilogy, #2) by Katherine Arden
So I would love to get this in paperback:
The Winter of the Witch (Winternight Trilogy, #3) by Katherine Arden

But I can't find it :/ I also had problems finding the paperbackversion of book 2, but luckily found it on amazon marketplace, I don't know of it isn't officially published that way? But I just want my covers to maaatch 😓

message 48: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Hm, maybe the paperback version will come out later? The hardcover version hasn't even been published (even though January 9th is luckily pretty soon)
I don't mind missmatched covers that much (I own quite a few missmatched series 😅) but it looks alot neater when they match, that's true.

message 49: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5045 comments That's what I thought as well as book 2 came out... And I waited and waited, I still hope to get book 3 somewhere but I'm not very optimistic.

I guess I shouldn't care that much, especially after the books will look a little frayed when I get them, because I send them away as Traveling Books

message 50: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments Metallic Cover: Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer #2) by Laini Taylor
Yeah, it's not that metallic, only the bird and the letters are but that's enough for me :)
