A topic for initial impressions and discussing getting the book.

Keith Comeford | 24 comments A lovely book I'd forgotten it. Meg is clearly one of us, an odd. Definitely has a Christian undertone that I had forgotten, although it is more of the liberal Christianity flavor and not the clear analogies of
C.S. Lewis' Narnia or Space Trilogies. This is one of the first "Science Fiction" books I ever encounter when
it was read to my 4th grade class during recesses when we couldn't go outside (rain, snow, just too darn cold).

"It was a dark and stormy night."

Man, there are a lot of hooks in the opening chapter. With Charles Wallace's waiting for her downstairs to all the blown off course stuff.
