S.E. Roberts | 9 comments Hi! I added my soon to be released book to the database but now it’s under an author with the same name. Can you help me claim this as my own?

Scott | 25027 comments It would help if you let us know what the book was.

S.E. Roberts | 9 comments Hi I claimed my author profile on Tuesday and was wondering if there was something else I needed to do to access it after claiming. Thank you so much

Sandra | 26902 comments You have to be approved by GR staff as a GR author, not sure how long it takes, as Librarians are voluntary staff we don't know those kind of things :)

Once its been approved you will have access to your profile & your book.

Abcdarian | 23397 comments Hm, you're the second one to mention having a long wait for this; usually it's pretty fast. I'd suggest contacting Support, either with https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta... or by email @ goodreads.com

Sandra | 26902 comments #12/#13 S.E. your books will always go to the default profile when being imported by amazon and you'll need to request they be moved to your profile. If you can add the ASIN to your edition the bots won't import it. But you only have a small window of opportunity to do that.

Book moved to your profile & combined. Do you plan to have any other editions ie paperback, ebook, audio? If not then we'll need to refer them for a merge by the supers and if you do then I can change the one you added to reflect the other format.

S.E. Roberts | 9 comments Thank you so much!! Yes, I plan to have it in paperback as well.

message 16: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 26902 comments #15 OK, I've marked the existing one paperback and when you have the isbn numbers they can be added to that edition. The bots don't typically import paperbacks so they won't add another edition.

Link to the kindle edition and you'll see the paperback edition is combined with it.

They do, but those are separate imports.
