I found this article very interesting. The author's goal was:
"to identify books that can form the building blocks to our understanding of just about everything there is to know in this universe. Essentially, I wanted to understand why are we the way we are and why have our social, political and biological systems evolved into what they are today."

After brainstorming with his network of people, he assembled an organized a 50 book list to try and take on this endeavor. I thought it was a very impressive collection, so wanted to pass along.

I haven’t read Bill Bryson yet, but added his (and a few others to my TBR. The author I really like that’s on here is Nassim Nicholas Taleb. He’s a finance guy that took his observations from Wall Street and applied them to various life lessons.
