I just heard about this today - it's not out yet but hopefully sometime in 2018, and according to IMBD. HBO is creating. I think it may be more of a short-term TV series

The cast can be seen here:

Travis (travishiltz) | 483 comments Interesting, yet slightly confusing.
Is this an adaption or a sequel? I've heard both.
For either answer, my next question is why?

Yeah, I think the Snyder adaption is flawed and there is room for improvement, but it has its fans and if a sequel...what else is there to say?
Most of the cast is dead (spoilers) is it a bunch of legacy heroes?

Not sure how I'm supposed to feel about this.

I liked the Snyder movie version overall, even thought I'm not a big fan of the directors other stuff.

Not sure how to feel on this one either yet. I liked the graphic novel and the movie, but as you said, what else is there really to say? HBO usually does make decent shows for the most part, so they must have some idea.

Some updated information released.

Only a teaser that shows nothing was announced but they are saying a 2019 release date.

Travis (travishiltz) | 483 comments So, we got a trailer and...I have no idea.
Looks like a Purge movie.

If they took away the Rorsharch masks, would anyone even guess this was Watchmen?

I just checked it out when you said something. It's odd but I'm still holding out hope since HBO usually does pretty decent TV shows - at least the first season. They can tend to get lazy later if it's popular. It looks to me like there's a group of mask wearers hunting down the remaining Watchmen when they find out they still exist, or did I completely not get it?

I tried the first episode and it's pretty good. Haven't gotten back to it but I plan to. I've heard it's doing pretty well ratings wise. Will post more when I watch more of it.

I didn't know all this bizarre backlash was going on about this show
The Right-Wing Troll Backlash Against HBO's Watchmen Is Hilariously Stupid

Travis (travishiltz) | 483 comments It seems the show has something to say and people seem to like it, and I'm not one of those fans that think the comic is sacred, but I just feel blah about every attempt at a sequel/prequel/spin-off etc.

Every time I think I'll give it a try, I talk myself out of it.

I think I'm more scared off by the connection to 'Lost' than I am by my reverence for Alan Moore.
