THIS I KNOW is set in the rural Midwest, where tornadoes often show no mercy. Now I live where wildfires and earthquakes are a looming danger. Did your family have any preparations or rituals ahead of Mother Nature's fury?

I do not have an emergency kit-- which is dumb since we lost our house in the Sonoma fires! Thanks for the reminder! Are you prepared?

OMG Rebecca! That is so hard. :( I hope you are rebuilding your lives and finding peace in the changes. We have a motorcycle mostly because if the nuclear plant ever blows we'll be able to shoot through traffic to get out a Dodge!
