Joanne I am now putting what mysteries I read for the rest of the year here.

Joanne 1. The Terracotta Dog. Andrea Camilleri

⭐️ I’m being generous

Absolute rubbish, disappointed seeing I enjoyed the first. I don’t see how writing about having an erection is clever writing or even remotely interesting. Good grief.

Joanne 2. Written in Dead Wax. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Andrew Cartmel.

I like it, a first time original mystery idea. Hallelujah!! Collecting records, genius! My only criticism is it’s a little long, just when I thought the story was coming to some sort of a end the author threw in another mystery and thought not just yet guys I see if I can dragg this out a little further. As the author is a Dr Who writer this apparent style of storyline is very evident in this book. That scenario happens a lot in Dr Who. Here’s hoping the next book is a little tidier, storyline wise.

Joanne The Crow Trap. Ann Cleeves

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Only thing it was a little long winded. Could of easily been cut down a bit. But gotta love Vera, her sassy attitude is a delight. Not vulgar just straight to the point.

Joanne Due or Die ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfectly charming from start to finish. Great characters and the story keeps moving along nicely. Second book in the series. Can’t but love the puppy angle and with a name like Heathcliffe it’s just irresistible. Great read.

I really love this series, I went back and read the first, just as charming, love the location, people, and storyline. Delightful cozie.

Joanne #7 The Valley of Fear ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Joanne #8 The Edge by Dick Francis. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very enjoyable read. I used to collect his books but I gave them away thinking naw I’m over him, mmmm wish I maybe hadn’t now, always a good story. Though there are always copies floating around.

Thanks I haven’t done an update since July. Two months worth of reading. Not too shabby
