This book was recommended to me by my mum and like a normal stubborn teenager I didn’t want to read it, thinking that it wouldn’t be any good. I was very wrong.

This story follows a boy determined to see his personal legend through, this includes many setbacks along his path.

The alchemist has so many sentences in it and quotes that I will use forever, however to read it you have to have an open mind to accepting that there is a language of the world that is different to ours and the boy in this book explores that through the desert, the sun and the wind.

I loved this book so much and it will make you feel things to if you open your mind to it.

So glad you loved the book and that your mom recommended it to you. That's super sweet. I have never read it because the views on it seem SO disparate. I feel like some people hate it and others absolutely love it, and there isn't much middle ground . . .

Not sure how open my mind is to the fantastic so I might not be the best target audience.

I tried this book 3 different times and could not finish it,
