I find it really interesting experiencing war from Pippin and Merry's points of view. They are two hobbits coming from a very peaceful life in a very peaceful land, and now they have found themselves in the most epic battle, which is so foreign to them.

Eowyn's line "But no living man am I!" is so great!

I've also really come to love Faramir's character and it was so painful to read everything his father said to him, like how he wished that Faramir had died instead of Boromir. Just awful.
