I read this book in paperback form sometime between 1993-1998. I thought the author's name was Erica but not sure.

I remember one young girl as the main character and i believe she had 3 or 4 friends and they were in this new house that no one rented but something happened there and i think she saw it while hididng. I wanna say they all were there but somehow the guy that was assaulting the woman began to "stalk" them.
