Authors, use this thread to reach out to readers and explain the premise of your story. Where is it available and why should we read it?

My synopsis for The Wolf of Descarta:

Jaren Reese is just another red collar trapped at the bottom of Descarta's genetic caste system. But in the Dream Box, he has forged a new digital identity for himself--Balmus, the Wolf Knight.

Balmus has long since carried a torch for Petra, another Linker in the system, but he doesn't know her, not really. Outside of the Dream Box she is just another one of his fantasies. But Brea Morgen is the real thing--a living, breathing person who desires Jaren for who he truly is, not merely what he pretends to be.

When the Dream Box crashes due to the evolution of a hostile A.I. life form, a secret military branch commissions a team of gamers and hackers to go back into the corrupted system to eliminate the threat. Jaren is given the chance of a lifetime in leading them, but he must decide how much he's willing to lose because the looming war will be waged on two fronts--the physical and the virtual.

Quoleena Sbrocca (qjsbrocca) The Crossing Hour by Quoleena Sbrocca
The Crossing Hour

Imagine if an early 19th century slave was to find herself awakened in the 21st century. What if she knew that in one year, she would have no choice but to return to her harrowing past, or else history would be forever changed.

Time travel is a naturally occurring phenomenon, and the aged scientist, Stanley Graf, has discovered it in a planetary black hole in northern Delaware. Only those in his inner circle know of the existence of time travel. He appoints his granddaughter, Leigh, a psychology doctorate graduate, to await the latest black hole event. When the traveler turns out to be a 28-year-old runaway slave, Harriet, Leigh discovers there is even more to her grandfather’s theory and research than she knew. With the aid of her brother, Stan, an FBI agent in D.C., she slowly uncovers a world of secrets and mystery. Just when Leigh is certain she has uncovered all, a mysterious traveler arrives, and new secrets unravel to the end.

Harriet’s body tensed as she stood motionless, drowning in a furious wave of stark, blinding whiteness. Through burning eyes she cowered at the paralyzing scene: the brightness of the building, the strangeness of costume, the squeaking of shuffling feet on the stark-colored, glossy, hard surface; the loud, scratchy voice bouncing off the walls and echoing through the halls; the buzzing, the beeping, and the clicking of a thousand sounds she could not understand.

“Never been in a hospital before? Lucky you,” the driver commented, attempting to understand her reaction. He turned to offer his arm and found himself frozen as the glass doors opened and closed repeatedly behind them. For the first time seeing her in a clearly lit setting, he fell enchanted by the sheen of her chestnut skin. It seemed to shimmer and effervesce in its milky darkness as if emanating the light of all the stars in a galaxy.
