laurel [the suspected bibliophile] (laurelthereader) IT'S PRIDE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never celebrate pride (mostly because I feel like a fraud since I discovered my sexuality pretty late), but my wife and I live on a military base and it's the straightest place on Earth (seriously all, it's a carbon copy of Stepford Wives) and this year I bought a rainbow flag and it's going to be hanging outside my house. Cue the complaints from the Mommy Brigade, mwahaha.

Enough about me.

This week's challenge is to read a book (YA, MG or adult) where the MC is LGBTQIA+.

LGBTQIA+ stands for: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer/Questioning, Intersex/Intersectionality, Asexual/Aromantic, And everyone else not covered by those few letters.

Here are some lists that might help with choosing a book:

Enjoy!

Trisha | 31448 comments I love this theme (and I hope you are able to proudly put that flag out front)

I'll dig through my books and (hopefully) get to an LGBTQ+ book this week!!

I'm glad you're loving the theme!

The flag arrived today and it is flying high!

laurel [the suspected bibliophile] (laurelthereader) Just finished Dear Rachel Maddow by Adrienne Kisner for this challenge, and it's AMAZING.

There's a f/f relationship and the MC is a lesbian in high school, but this is not a discovering-your-sexuality-book or coming-out-of-the-closet book, and it was so refreshing to read.
