Few lines i read about chalam writings

@Hi Priya, are we planning to read 2 Chalam books in July? I think its better if we can read 1 book of Chalam along with any other author.

oke month lo 2 books from same author ante konchem boring. What do you think.

I think it would be difficult to finish reading 2 books by Chalam in a month. If everyone like to read only one book, we can just consider the winner in polls.

I am not sure about reading two authors in a month. But let us see what others think about that.

I am fine with whatever works for the majority of members.

If we decide to read 2 authors in a month, we can read the 4 selected authors ( from the survey) in July and August. After that, we have two choices. We, either, need to set up a new author survey for the next 4 months or, continue with the rest of the authors from the survey list for the rest of the year.

I leave it open to the members' suggestions/comments.

message 16: by Sarath (new)

Sarath | 101 comments reading two books of same author in a month is little bit boring. out of two books one book should be based on author and one book should be based on genre.

let us take poll for authors and genres seperately.. so out of all authors..first 6 authors and first 6 genres having highest votes should be read in next 6 months (upto year end).

so monthly survey will be based on selected author and genres books only..

for example if chalam has highest votes in author category followed by sri sri and madhu babu... july lo voting should be on chalam books..next august lo voting should be on sri sri books.. next september lo voting should be on madhu babu books.. like tat for genre also...

so tat we will have 12 authors, 12 genres and 24 different books as our group reading for a year.. mostly everyone favourite genere will be touched and will be comfortable for everyone.

Hi Sravya, Welcome to the group.

Unfortunately, i am not aware of any English translations of Chalam works. Just wondering why not to read it in Telugu script.

Srav (perspectives) | 14 comments Thank you Vamsi!

Unfortunately, I’m an NRI, was born in India but brought up elsewhere. I’m fluent in speaking Telugu and am able to read but my reading rate is painstakingly slow. That’s why I asked.

Ok, i totally understand. As of now no audios books created for chalam novels. There is an option to read Telugu novels using GoogleTalkBack and ESpeak but not a great way to read .

Please check out this link: Read Telugu Novels
