Alex Gomez | 2 comments Does anyone know of some good Japanese novels centered around an area of interests like a hobby (i.e. a sport, cooking, music, etc.) and/or some kind of career?

Terrence (grnkrby) | 347 comments I think this one is also about an author (and he is working to make a play based on his book which is based on his real life?).

Death by Water

It's a pretty long book iirc. I did not finish it.

Goth by Otsuichi is very good and macabre. It's about a boy and girl that chase scenes of death as a hobby (effectively a detective story, though they don't really have super noble intentions for chasing down the criminals or crimes).
