Gavin Baskett | 1 comments Bangkok 8 was a fun read! I read it when it came out and enjoyed it. There have been other books in the series written about the same detective protagonist but I haven’t gotten around to them.
But my favorite read that takes place in Thailand is the nonfiction book about the southeast Asian serial killer. Serpentine by Thomas Thompson. They made a Netflix series about it called The Serpent which was kinda meh but definitely watchable.
Oh, also: Thailand Confidential by Jerry Hopkins is a great collection of stories and memoirs written in and about The Kingdom. Highly recommended!
Hope this helps!
