"3) Delete (merge) the incorrect edition. This will move over any shelvings to the edition you have combined it with. If there are more than 5, this step requires a superlibrarian. Post in the Please delete this book thread in the Librarians Group for assistance."

After the 5 it should probably say 'reviews'.

Arenda | 22173 comments 5 Shelvings is actually right.

Any shelvings and reviews and ratings will be transferred.

5 shelvings is the limit for regular librarians to merge an edition. I believe the pop-up text when a regular librarian tries to merge an edition with more than 5 shelvings says something like: you can't merge an edition with more than 5 reviews. 'Reviews' in that pop-up is incorrect, as it is the number of shelvings that determines if a regular librarian can merge or if you need a superlibrarian.

There are/have been regularly requests for a superlibrarian in this group where the regular librarian wondered why they couldn't merge an edition as it didn't have any reviews attached (but it did have more than 5 shelvings).

Ria (savage_tiger) | 22 comments I see now, the word shelvings should really be repeated in the sentence to make it clear that it isn't 5 anything else.
