Yes, that works as a biography/memoir of A. A. Milne, who was a playwright, as well as the author of the Pooh books.

Will As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride work? I know the author would work, as an actor, but I just want to make sure that it works as an autobiography since it's about one particular movie and not about his life as a whole.

Focusing on one moment in time makes it a memoir, but that's fine. Yes, this book would work as a memoir of an actor.
