15.5 - The Bard
Read a book, fiction or nonfiction, about William Shakespeare. This should be a book about the man William Shakespeare, not about his work. Examples: Soul of the Age: A Biography of the Mind of William Shakespeare, The Year of Lear: Shakespeare in 1606, Shakespeare in Love: A Screenplay.

Tien (tiensblurb) | 1697 comments William Shakespeare thriller series will work, right? The fiction does not necessarily have to be based on true events... the series does took on the William Shakespeare as MC albeit a very young one.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 3975 comments Would a fiction book such as Shakespeare's Scribe work? The central character is a young man who works for Will Shakespeare and tours with the bard's troupe of actors.

I have other options, but just wondering...

from the description, doesn't sound as if the book is "about" Shakespeare.

This appears to be about Shakespeare's work, not so much about him as a person. However, it looks as if it would work for 10.5.

from the description, this does not appear to be about Shakespeare's life.

License to Quill. Shakespeare as Bond. Complete with a sleek grey horse named Aston.

Dee (austhokie) | 7903 comments Does Kill Shakespeare, Vol. 1: A Sea of Troubles work?

From description:
What Fables does for fairy tales, Kill Shakespeare does with the greatest writer of all time. This dark take on the Bard pits his greatest heroes (Hamlet, Juliet, Othello, Falstaff) against his most menacing villains (Richard III, Lady Macbeth, Iago) in an epic adventure to find and kill a reclusive wizard named William Shakespeare.

Sorry, this sounds like it's more about his characters than about him.
