annapi | 5160 comments When Frank and Sarah try to adopt their ward Catherine, they are told that they need her stepfather, the actor Parnell Vaughn, to first relinquish his claim on the child. He agrees, but when Frank brings the papers for him to sign, he discovers the man beaten to death in his dressing room. To his consternation, he is accused of murder. Now they must find the real killer or his reputation, and by association that of his family, will be tarnished.

A good read as usual, nothing extraordinary. Overall I like this series, but I don't love it. It keeps my interest well enough but I won't miss it if I stopped.

This is my main problem with series. Very few of them keep me interested enough to continue. Glad you enjoyed this one though! Even if it is no Eve and Roarke ;)
