Amber Foxx (amberfoxx) | 287 comments Remember that when you go into a pirate site to have your book taken down, that these sites sometimes don't even have your book. Some of them want to get you to set up an account so they can steal credit card and other information. Click "the report copyright violation" but don't get too personal. Readers need to be warned off them for that reason.

★Moonrise (moonrisebookblog) | 246 comments Amber, thanks for sharing this. I was discussing this same issue with another author friend of mine who discovered a site with her books listed. More than likely, the site doesn't even have copies of the books listed. Instead, their goal is to gather info from anyone who signs up (both readers, who think they're getting a deal; and authors, who want their books removed from the site). I would say report the site to the FTC, and never provide personal information to such a website. Just my two cents.
